Milan are expected to announce the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United tomorrow, while Daniel Maldini, Lorenzo Colombo and Marco Brescianini are also heading for the exit.

The deal was done last week for a total of circa €80m including various add-ons and a percentage of the sell-on fee.

Tonali underwent a medical in Romania, where he was participating in the Under-21 European Championships with Italy, but their group stage exit means he can officially begin this new experience on July 1.

According to Calciomercato.com, Tonali will be unveiled as a Newcastle United player on Saturday.

The midfielder is not the only one heading out of San Siro this summer.

Daniel Maldini was on loan at Spezia and is set to go for another temporary spell in Serie A, this time for Empoli.

Frosinone are in advanced talks to sign 23-year-old midfielder Marco Brescianini, who impressed this season in Serie B with Cosenza.

It is reported to be a permanent transfer, but with Milan set to receive 50 per cent of the sell-on fee.

He had also been linked with Salernitana, Empoli and Palermo.

As for Colombo, he returns from the loan at Lecce and there are suggestions the striker will work with Stefano Pioli in pre-season before the coach decides on whether he will remain part of the squad.
