According to Sky Sport Italia, Al-Nassr have increased their offer to Inter for Marcelo Brozovic and all parties feel increasingly confident it will go through.

The situation has been utterly chaotic for a week now, as when the Croatia international finally accepted improved personal terms of a three-year contract worth €100m between wages and signing-on fee, in turn Al-Nassr cut their original proposal to the club.

It went from the agreed €23m down to €13m plus €2m in add-ons, infuriating the Nerazzurri and throwing the whole deal into doubt.

Now Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia claim that Al-Nassr have been back in touch with Inter and raised their offer, though it remains to be seen how close it will get to the €23m.

It is an improvement and Inter are said to feel more optimistic that the deal will go through eventually.

Meanwhile, Foot Mercato claim that Brozovic has already completed medical tests in Paris and is now just waiting for Inter to give the all-clear.

It is some much-needed good news for Inter, who have seen Cesar Azpilicueta drop their agreed personal terms in order to join Atletico Madrid instead.

He will be released as a free agent by Chelsea.
