Sandro Tonali is on the verge of signing a new contract at Milan that will double his current salary, as his agents met with directors this evening.

The midfielder is a lifelong Rossoneri supporter who has always said it was his dream to wear this jersey.

He was a key figure in their Scudetto-winning campaign and is now ready to put pen to paper on a new deal to June 2027.

That will add one more year to his current contract, but notably double his salary from €1.5m per season to €3m.

The 22-year-old was purchased from Brescia in 2020 for €10m on loan with obligation to buy for a further €6.9m.

In order to help the move go through, Tonali accepted a pay cut, with the promise of receiving a raise further down the line.

That moment has now come and Milan are ready to go forward with Tonali into the future.

The Champions League group stage draw was held today and the Diavolo were paired with Chelsea, Dinamo Zagreb and RB Salzburg.

  1. Can’t think of anyone who deserves it more. He’s a rare breed in modern football. Cares about the shirt before the money.
