Italy host Ukraine in a must-win EURO 2024 qualifier tomorrow and 47,000 tickets have been sold, but it is nowhere near sold out at San Siro.

The game kicks off on Tuesday at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

A victory would put the Azzurri level in second place with Ukraine, but with a game in hand, while England are out front at the top of the group.

A statement from the Federation confirmed today that 47,000 tickets have so far been sold for the match.

According to Sky Sport Italia, circa 2,000 of those tickets have been sold to Ukrainian supporters.

It is nowhere near sold out, as San Siro can hold circa 80,000 people and will be packed to the rafters for the Derby della Madonnina between Inter and Milan on Saturday.

There are several initiatives for the Italy match, which included a visit to the Coverciano training ground from a group of Ukrainian refugee children who got to train with the Azzurri.

Today, a delegation of children undergoing treatment at the Buzzi Paediatric Hospital were given the chance to meet their heroes at the Milanello training ground, where Italy are camped out for this game.

  1. You wouldn’t go to cinema to see a film that rates below 20%!
So who in their right mind would pay 50-150€ to see this bunch of clowns. I wouldn’t mind if we were boring but winning. Unfortunately not only are we shockingly bad but we are useless all over the field especially infront of goal!

  2. Even when they are playing well they often fail to sellout.. Italians love their clubs more than the national team.. I’m from Canada and if a Canadian national team is playing no way would fans boo a particular player (Donnarumma) the way Milan fans did.. disgraceful..
