Juventus trio Gleison Bremer, Danilo and Alex Sandro are set to receive call-ups to the Brazil squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

The upcoming Serie A weekend will be the final one before the World Cup break kicks off on November 14. The league won’t return until January 4, giving those who aren’t heading to Qatar a six-week break to recover ahead of the second half of the season. The break will be extra important for Juventus, who hope to recover Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa fully over the six weeks.

As reported by UOL Esporte, Brazil coach Tite is already certain of 24 of the 26 players he’ll bring with him to Qatar, with just two doubts still remaining. The last two spots are being fought over by Bremer, Dani Alves and Lucas Verissimo, with the former two currently the favourites for inclusion. Danilo and Alex Sandro will be part of the squad as well.

The 25-year-old Bremer made his Brazil debut back in September, playing 45 minutes of a friendly against Ghana.

  1. Brasil must be desperate to have to call in those two big guns. Roberto Carlos and Cafu will at least be able to showcase their finest skills honed and crafted by PhD Max to a global audience.
