Lionel Scaloni has reportedly decided to call up six Serie A stars for his Argentina squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Serie A will take a six-week break for the tournament, kicking off next week on November 14. The league will return on January 4, giving teams the chance to rest their players who aren’t travelling to Qatar to compete. Injuries have started to mount across Europe in the run up to the tournament, with the packed schedule clearly taking a toll on the players.

As reported by TyC Sport, Scaloni has decided which 27 Argentina players he will bring with him to the World Cup in Qatar, a list that includes Serie A stars like Roma’s Paulo Dybala, Juventus’ Angel Di Maria and Inter’s Lautaro Martinez. The only doubt surrounds including either Juan Foyth or Angel Correa.

The tournament will be Lionel Messi’s last World Cup with Argentina, setting up an emotional tournament for the seven time Ballon d’Or winner.
