Carpi striker Marco Borriello has received a three-game ban for attempting to headbutt Frosinone’s Danilo Soddimo.

Both players were given a red card during 2-1 win for the Canarini, but the former Roma man will miss three games for “attempting to hit an opposing player with a headbutt”, while Soddimo has only a one-match ban.

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, Felipe Melo of Inter and Empoli’s Assane Diousse have each received a one-game ban for their respective red cards.

Inter have received a €10,000 fine “failing to prevent an unauthorised person entering the referee’s room and using an insulting epithet.”
