Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao shone against Venezia last week and are the Milan stars to watch in today’s game with Spezia.

The Rossoneri have a chance to leapfrog Inter on top of the Serie A table today, although with a game in hand.

They host Spezia at San Siro at 17.30 UK time.

Probable line-ups: Milan vs. Spezia

While Stefano Pioli is short of options at the back and in the middle of the park, Theo and Leao are expected to feature in the Diavoli’s XI.

The French defender scored a brace against Venezia last week, while Leao assisted Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the opener against Paolo Zanetti’s side.

The Portuguese winger scored his only brace in Serie A in the reverse fixture against Spezia in October and has already managed seven goals and five assists in 22 appearances with Milan this season.

Theo is the only defender to have contributed to nine goals in the opening 21 Serie A games in the last 15 years along with Achraf Hakimi and Robin Gosens.

Both Leao and Theo see their current deals expire in June 2024, but Milan have already opened talks to extend their stay at the club by two more years.

  1. @vogel and @migi, you could wish them off-form for the rest of the season but praying for them to be injured is too ungodly. It is like getting happy when other teams’ players get Covid and presents a weaker team. Please know that football is only 90 minutes and at most 120 minutes beyond that is life so let’s put our differences aside and pray the all players will be okay for Serie A to get to it’s best. Thank you.
