Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti joked with Luka Modric after the Croat was named MVP in the Spanish Supercup Final: ‘You missed one pass…’

Ancelotti became the first Italian coach to win the trophy following Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Athletic Club.

The Merengues’ star Luka Modric was named MVP and Carlo Ancelotti joked with him after the award ceremony.

“You missed one pass, you missed one pass there,” Ancelotti said, smiling under his mask.

“You kicked one ball out!”

The 62-year-old then hugged the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner and continued celebrating with his lads.

  1. Actually Gee it’s not as non-Italian as you might think.

One of the world’s biggest teams are coached by a highly decorated Italian. Their fitness coach, Antonio Pintus, is also Italian and one of the best around. Carlo’s back room staff of around 6-7 has a few Italians there as well.

I don’t see an issue with FI highlighting any big teams coached by Italians such as Carlo. Also refreshing to highlight the success of Italians in the world of football.
