Theo Hernandez is ‘very happy’ to score a brace for Milan wearing the captain’s armband against Venezia and confirms he’s in ‘advanced’ talks for a contract extension.

The France international scored a scorcher into the near top corner before earning and converting a penalty in the 3-0 away win.

“We put in a great performance and knew it was not going to be easy,” Theo Hernandez told Sky Sport Italia.

“I am the captain because Alessio Romagnoli and Davide Calabria are out, but I am very happy to be wearing it. Now we have to win every game and put pressure on Inter, keep working well every day.”

Although he has been linked with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, Theo Hernandez is ready to commit his future to Milan.

“We are at an advanced stage. I’ve been very happy here since the first day and we are in talks. I work every day to become the best. Paolo Maldini often helps with advice too.”
