Milan fans have taken a still image from the Derby della Madonnina defeat to Inter as a sign of what has gone wrong within the squad recently.

It was their fourth consecutive defeat in all competition, during which the Rossoneri have scored one goal and conceded 13.

With that in mind, coach Stefano Pioli switched to a 3-5-2 formation in a bid to protect the defence more and it did at least do that, albeit in a 1-0 loss.

Goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu has received a lot of criticism for his performances over the last few weeks, filling in for injured Mike Maignan, but made some good saves against Inter.

Nonetheless, in the final minutes there was a moment when Tatarusanu did not come off his line for a cross, prompting six teammates to turn towards him with arms outstretched in frustration to berate him.

This has been identified on social media as an example of the total breakdown of confidence and trust within the Milan squad.

Alexis Saelemaekers, Simon Kjaer, Rade Krunic, Malick Thiaw, Theo Hernandez and Sandro Tonali all turned to complain.
