Michael Agazzi has mused that whilst links with Milan are ‘nice’, he is currently only focused on new club Chievo.

The goalkeeper moved to the Flying Donkeys from Cagliari last month, but only on a short-term deal, maintaining his original contract length in Sardinia, leaving him a free agent come the summer.

It is a situation that is in place reportedly as Agazzi has an agreement to join Milan, but like the club, the 29-year-old is remaining non-committal on the subject.

“The rumours are nice, but I have not signed any contract,” Agazzi has commented at his presentation with Chievo this week.

“I am focused on giving my best for Chievo, towards achieving survival.

“I want to thank the club and the President at Chievo, I see these next four-and-a-half months as an opportunity.

“I found myself on the outside of the team in Cagliari and although Cellino and the club gave me a lot, I want to take this period as an opportunity to grow.

“I want to make it difficult for [Eugenio] Corini to make his team selections, and I will give my best for the team.

“The goalkeepers to have come this way have been very great.”
