Axel Tuanzebe will undergo his medical with Napoli in the coming days and the Partenopei could pay more than €1m for the player’s six-month loan.

The 24-year-old will end his loan spell at Aston Villa where he played nine games across all competitions in the first part of the campaign.

Sky Sport Italia reports the details of the agreement between Manchester United and Napoli for the centre-back who will replace Kostas Manolas.

Tuanzebe will move to the Stadio Maradona on a ‘dry’ six-month loan deal. Napoli will pay €600,000 plus €400,000 if they finish in the top four.

The fee can rise by a further €200,000 depending on the player’s appearances with the Partenopei in the second part of the campaign.

Napoli currently sit third in the Serie A table, seven points off leaders Inter.

They return to the pitch on Thursday in a key away clash against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
