According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal have made a new bid to sign Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic in January.

The Gunners are looking for a new centre forward as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is tipped to leave Emirates Stadium in the winter transfer window.

The 21-year-old, who became the second most prolific striker in Europe’s top five leagues in 2021, is on top of their shopping list and the Gunners had already made a formal opening offer a new months ago.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they have once again knocked on Fiorentina’s door with a new proposal: €55m plus Lucas Torreira who joined Fiorentina on loan with an option to buy last summer.

Fiorentina would need to pay €15m to sign the Uruguayan Regista permanently, so the total cost for the signing of Vlahovic would be in the region of €70m.

The Tuscans are considering the offer, but Vlahovic doesn’t seem willing to join Arsenal.

The Serbia international is considering his option and seems willing to stay at the Stadio Artemio Franchi until the end of the season.

In his most recent interview, he even refused to rule out a possible contract extension with La Viola.

“Never say never. But at the moment I am focused on new victories,” he told  Politika.rs.

  1. Made up links as always, but it’d be sad to see the likes of Fiorentina selling their best player to an average epl side.

Probably only a matter of time before we see him in England regardless. Sad days.
