The Bianconeri secured the Serie A title for a fifth season in a row yesterday when Napoli lost at Roma, and the head of the Federation offered his congratulations ahead of a meeting today.

“You don’t win five Scudetti without good skill, planning and commitment,” Tavecchio told reporters.

“The sense of duty that the players and staff of Juventus have allows them to have prestige in Italy and abroad.

“I congratulate President [Andrea] Agnelli and his club because you can only achieve these kind of results with great determination and aptitude.”

Tavecchio was also asked for his opinion on Roma captain Francesco Totti, who could leave the club at the end of the season.

“He’s a timeless champion and I hope he stays in Italian football.”
