“We had a meeting with the employees who are not footballers, those who really need protection.

“Making it to March 19 [the date of the bankruptcy hearing] means having the opportunity to protect the employees and giving a future to the team.

“The rules in the FIGC are changing, and that sends a very important message.

“In order for our football to be more economically sustainable, we must start again from Parma.

“The figure who is currently absent must step aside,” he added, presumably in reference to President Giampietro Manenti.

“I hope the message is conveyed that we've got to be as close as possible to the team to respond to the bankruptcy situation that has come about.”
