Arthur Melo has returned home after the surgery in his right leg. ‘Finally able to play without pain. See you soon’.

The Brazilian midfielder had to undergo an intervention to resolve bone calcification in his right leg and the former Barcelona player has vowed to work hard for a swift return.

The 24-year-old, capped 21 times by Brazil, arrived at Juventus ahead of 2020-21 and signed a deal until June 2025.

He confirmed the operation was successful but will need some time to recover from the surgery, and hopes to ‘finally be able to play without pain’ when he returns to action.

“Everything went well,” Arthur wrote on Instagram. “Back home, very happy because I wanted to undergo surgery and forget this intruder, in order to finally be able to play without pain.

“Thanks to Dr. Piana and the medical staff of Juve. I feel very good thanks to the work with my personal staff and I trust to be 100 per cent as soon as possible and with a great motivation for this season!

“Thank you all for your messages of support! See you soon, to give everything ‘fino alla fine’.”
