Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman is flying to the Netherlands for further tests on his previously injured knee.

The Giallorossi’s 1-1 draw against Fiorentina last Sunday seemingly cost them dearly, as Daniele De Rossi has already been ruled out for three weeks with an injury picked up from that game.

Strootman also picked up a knock from that fixture, to the same knee that required surgery and a nine-month lay-off after injury last March.

Tests carried out yesterday showed bruising and a sprain to the joint, as confirmed by the club.

The Gazzetta dello Sport today reiterates Roma's statement, in reporting that the player will fly out to Holland today or tomorrow, for a further examination on the knee with the surgeons that operated on him before.
