“I was clear with the team: we are going through an excellent period of form and this is why we must try to play our game,” said the Coach.

“Of course we are facing the best team in Italy, but we are ready for them. Humble but determined, we are Udinese and we will fight to the death.”

Juve beat Udinese 2-0 in Turin back in September with Carlos Tevez and Claudio Marchisio on target.

“We learned our lesson on a tactical level. Tevez is basically an added midfielder, which was the tactical key last time out. He forced us to ‘lose’ a defender, leaving space to push up.

“We must not repeat the same mistake. We need grit and the support of the fans too.”

Panagiotis Kone starts a three-match ban, while Maurizio Domizzi, Giampiero Pinzi, Alexandre Geijo, Emmanuel Badu and Molla Wague are unavailable.

Udinese squad for Juventus: Karnezis, Meret, Scuffet; Bubnjic, Danilo, Faraoni, Gabriel Silva, Heurtaux, Pasquale, Piris, Widmer; Allan, Fernandes, Guilherme, Hallberg, Jadson; Aguirre, Di Natale, Thereau
