The Nerazzurri have impressed on the road this term, but they have lost both of their home games to Roma and the little Tuscans on Sunday.
“It is right to be criticised after a defeat, but judgements need to be made at the end,” he stated on Tuesday. “There is a time to sow and a time to harvest.
“Siena didn’t lock us in our own penalty area. We constructed play and, even if I don’t want to make excuses, we created eight scoring opportunities.
“Had we taken one of those we might even be seen as a phenomenon today…”
The Nerazzurri’s struggles are starting to see Stramaccioni’s tactics questioned and there is an argument that Antonio Cassano and Wesley Sneijder can’t co-exist.
“That’s not the case, absolutely not,” he responded. “It will just be up to me when and if to play them together.
“Look at the game against Siena. Cassano did an incredible move to set up Sneijder. Had he scored we would today be talking about a deadly duo.
“You can't wave a magic wand, but you can make progress. And in my book the only way to improve is by getting on with the task at hand. We don't want to lose any more games like the Siena one.”
Inter are next in action at Chievo tomorrow night.
“Chievo were extremely well drilled and they held their own against Juventus until the last 20 minutes,” Strama highlighted. “It will be tactically challenging.
“We've seen what a solid outfit they are and it will be a tricky match for us tomorrow, at a ground which has traditionally been a tough place to visit. And in Mimmo Di Carlo they have a very shrewd Coach.
“It's definitely a key game if we want to send out a signal, first of all to ourselves, and improve the parts of our game that have prevented us from being more consistent.”
