Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni has revealed that his side will do all they can to reach the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.

The Nerazzurri play Bologna tomorrow at San Siro and the 37-year-old has admitted that winning the competition is a definite target.

“We will give great importance to this quarter-final,” he told Rai Sport. “As well as going far in the League and the Europa League, we want to get to the latter stages of the Coppa.

“It is just a one-off game, so we have to be careful.

“Bologna are a team that can trouble any side. They are in a moment of good form and have some strong attacking players.

“We have great respect for them but we have to believe we can reach the semi-finals.”

The former Roma youth boss then commented on the race for this season's Scudetto and the likelihood of the Beneamata signing players in January.

“We have to try and fight to be at the top, but we are absolutely targeting the Champions League places,” he said.

“We have shown that we are competitive against anyone but we must not repeat some of the mistakes we made in the first half of the season.

“It is normal that at this time we would try and improve the squad. We will try and target players that would add something to this club.”
