The Dutch goalkeeper has recently been dropped in favour of Mauro Goicoechea even after recovering from injury.

“He has only just returned from his fitness problems, but the hierarchy of goalkeepers is not yet clear,” agent Rob Jansen told SportMediaset.

“He certainly won’t stay at Roma to be second choice. He has to think about his career, the Dutch team and the World Cup in Brazil.”

Stekelenburg has been linked to a move with Fulham or Milan.
