Dejan Stankovic says he is ready to leave if he’s seen as the problem at Sampdoria.

The former midfielder collected four points in the opening six games in charge of the Blucerchiati, losing four games, including the last three.

Sampdoria’s midweek round saw them lose 2-0 away at Torino.

“If I am the problem, I can leave,” Stankovic said at a press conference at the Stadio Grande Torino, as quoted by La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“I am talking about myself, not anyone else. But then, we have to see if everyone has done his best. First of all, we must focus on Lecce. We are trying to do the best we can, but I understand the criticism.”

The ex-Inter star was sent off in the second half but denied insulting the referee: “I was running towards Radonjic to tell him, in Serbian, to kick the ball out [because Rincon was lying on the ground injured]. Juric told me: ‘Just go, or you’ll get a five-match ban.'”
