Urban Planner Luca Montuori spoke to fans via a Facebook video to answer questions and outlined the various steps they still need to go through.

“In this process we are convinced that three, three-and-a-half months is a compatible time-frame, so if we do very, very well, then in March we should reach approval and give the all-clear to the phase of building work and starting the public service tenders.

“From March onwards, we’ll see who ought to be responsible for building the structure.”

Roma hope to have the new stadium open for the 2020-21 season.
