Sassuolo President Giorgio Squinzi insists “there haven’t been any calls” from Inter for Domenico Berardi.

The forward is considered to be one of Serie A’s brightest talents, scoring 38 goals in three Serie A seasons at the age of just 21, as well as providing 20 assists.

Juventus have a buyback option on the Italian Under-21 international, having sold their half of his contract to the Neroverdi this summer.

Despite this, it was reported this morning that Inter – who Berardi grew up supporting – were looking to trump the Bianconeri and bring the player to San Siro.

“I honestly don’t know anything about this,” Squinzi told FCInterNews.

“I haven’t had any signals from Inter. Up to this point there haven’t been any calls and no meeting is scheduled to discuss the player’s future.

“For now nothing is planned [with anyone], we haven’t made a decision yet.”
