Roma may have to be patient to break down Spal, but Leonardo Semplici’s side have conceded almost half of their goals in the final half hour of matches.

The Giallorossi face the newly-promoted side looking to go level on points with Juventus, at least temporarily, with the Bianconeri facing Napoli this evening.

Given that one or both of Juve and Napoli will drop points this is a crucial match for Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, and even if they don’t score early they can be confident of scoring eventually.

The Spallini have conceded 23 goals in their 14 games so far, and 11 of those have come in the final 30 minutes of their matches.

Spal are also one of two teams, along with Bologna, not to have been given a single penalty this season, while they’ve had five go against them.

They haven’t beaten Roma in the capital since a 2-0 win in the 1965-66 season, with nine losses and six draws in their 16 other Serie A matches in Rome.
