Luciano Spalletti insists he didn’t “revolutionise” Roma as “there’s quality in the squad”.

The Coach replaced Rudi Garcia on the Olympic bench in January, and the Giallorossi are currently on a nine-match unbeaten run in Serie A.

“There’s a great sporting director at Roma, Walter Sabatini,” Spalletti told Sky.

"He's done a great job and built a great team. The quality and the raw materials were already here.

"He's done a great job and built a great team. The quality and the raw materials were already here.

“I didn’t revolutionise anything, because there’s quality in the squad. There’s still a lot of work to be done though, we have to work on the details with seriousness and professionalism.

"Could we have won the Scudetto if I had arrived earlier? I don't think so, who knows.

“The Derby [with Lazio] will be important for the table, for the city and for football. Across from me will be [Stefano] Pioli, one of the Coaches who I respect the most.

"I missed Italian football – our tactics, our quality and the tension."

Spalletti was the opening of his restaurant Fashion Foodballer in Florence, and was asked about his relationship with captain Francesco Totti.

“I haven’t invited him here to the restaurant because he has to be a daddy right now, but I'm sure he'll be here at some point.

"We have a good relationship, and I want us to continue to have that in future. At certain times and with certain incidents there's a bit of tension, but these things happen, they pass and they're forgotten."
