Coach Luciano Spalletti claims he is 'completely at peace' after Roma beat Udinese 2-1.

The Tuscan Coach continued his remarkable streak with the Giallorossi as he picked up the eighth consecutive victory.

“Let's start by saying that our players were splendid,” he said after the game. “I know that crashing out of the Champions League can have an impact, but they recharged their batteries and they showed me in training that they were over their disappointment.

“But we have to keep the teams behind us far away, and that's done by means of victories like these.”

Spalletti was then asked about Edin Dzeko, who returned to scoring after missing a sitter against Real Madrid.

“All of our players contribute to the victory. If you pick up a sequence of wins like this one, then the starters know what they're doing. Even the supposedly weaker teams can give you trouble if you can't show all of your qualities.

“I was curious whether I was right or not about Roma. I thought they had possibilities they had already expressed in the excellent results of the past few years.

“The team had to learn the how to enjoy itself again. The lads worked seriously and now they deserve to take all credit.

“I think psychology is essential in a football team. It's simplistic to just speak of athletic preparations.

“The pleasure of their situation and their life experiences makes a difference. It may seem a given but we truly have been chosen for what we're doing.

“Our situation has to be analysed deeply and seriously. These lads have alternatives in their lives too. They must be convinced that this is a more beautiful place than all others, that's how they give their best.

“The team played some good football. The lads played a great game and I won't take part in criticisms towards any of them. I'm completely at peace today!”
