"Juve are growing game by game," Spalletti told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "They are becoming aware of their own strength. De Neri's team can win the Scudetto."

Zenit St Petersburg manager Luciano Spalletti believes Juventus have a team worthy of winning the Scudetto this season.

"Juve are growing game by game," Spalletti told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "They are becoming aware of their own strength. De Neri's team can win the Scudetto."

Asked about Alberto Aquilani, who he coached at Roma, he said: "The many injuries at Liverpool dug away at his confidence. He no longer knew how to train and how much to train.

"Now he has come out of the tunnel. And Juve have an extra champion."

Spalletti then tried to distance himself from reports linking him with the Inter job.

"I am staying in St Petersburg. Case closed. In Italy the number of injuries is a record because the players have their heads and muscle burnt by the tension. The obligation to always win consumes you.

"I have coached 24 players. I have put them under all kinds of training regimes and I have only had two injuries all season. I don't understand all these attacks on Benitez.

"The professionalism and the competence of the Inter Coach aren't up for debate."
