Italian sources insist Manchester United haven’t made an offer for Wesley Sneijder, plus updates on Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez and Alberto Aquilani.

British newspapers today suggested Man Utd had reached an agreement with Inter to bring Sneijder to Old Trafford.

“That’s not what I heard and above all to this day United haven’t made any real offers for Sneijder,” FIFA agent Peppino Tirri told Calciomercato.it.

“There is certainly interest, but a formal proposal is still a long way off.”

There has been a great deal of transfer gossip between Premier League and Serie A clubs recently.

Inter were again involved with reports of a swap between Samuel Eto’o and Tevez, while Manchester City are also interested in Daniele De Rossi.

“I think it’d be very difficult to see Eto’o exchanging places with Tevez. This is mainly a move that belongs in someone’s dreams.

“At the end of the day, I think De Rossi will stay at Roma and extend his contract.”

Balotelli declared he was unhappy in Manchester and would relish a return to San Siro, preferably for Milan.

Another Premier League man, Liverpool midfielder Aquilani, has also been linked with the Rossoneri.

“A Balotelli transfer would be very complicated, so I think he’ll stay at City for a little longer,” added Tirri.

“As for Aquilani, the Rossoneri provide a concrete link there. I believe it could well happen.”
