The Scudetto race is incredibly tight, but according to the Sky Sport Italia computer algorithm, Inter will pip Milan to the title, with Napoli in third.

The Rossoneri have slowed down considerably up top with back-to-back 0-0 draws against Bologna and Torino.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have climbed back up and have a game in hand to be played against Bologna.

They now sit just one point behind the leaders with that extra match to be played on April 27.

Napoli were beaten 3-2 at home by Fiorentina and coach Luciano Spalletti confessed that “felt like a sentence” in their Scudetto trial.

Sky Sport Italia programme Sky Calcio Club have a computer algorithm they use to predict results and crunched the numbers ahead of the final few weeks.

According to this software, Inter will eventually retain the Serie A title with 82 points, followed by Milan on 79 and Napoli lagging behind on 77 points.

In fact, the algorithm predicts Inter will leapfrog their city rivals by the end of Week 35, so before facing Bologna.

At that stage, they are expected to be on 75 points, Milan 73 and Napoli 70.

It is also worth noting the programme gave itself a margin of error of plus or minus two points, which could still make all the difference.

  1. Pioli should get the best coach prize for 2021-22 season. I am an Inter fan but Pioli has done an outstanding job at Milan with little money available to buy big names.

  2. I agree. I don’t know that much about Napoli but it’s clear Milan‘s lack of quality up front is really coming home to roost now. Every game is just a struggle to score.

  3. Woweee, where could they have obtained such advanced technology. I hope Paul the octopus has been made aware of the fact that Skynet are coming for his job.

  4. Inter still the obvious favourites, but they’ve been so poor in 2022 that they could yet throw it away.

Who knows who’ll be the least worst of the four average teams still in it during the run-in.
