According to Sky Sport Italia, Monza will sack their coach Giovanni Stroppa and Raffaele Palladino will take charge of the next Serie A match with Juventus.

The 54-year-old had led the Brianzoli to a historic Serie A promotion last season, but Monza earned just one point in the opening six games this term in their first-ever campaign in Italy’s top flight.

According to Sky Sport, Monza will soon announce the coach’s sacking. The decision has been taken, but the club hasn’t yet picked a permanent replacement for the ex-Milan midfielder.

Therefore, their Primavera team coach Raffaele Palladino will be in charge of the upcoming Serie A match with Juventus at the U-Power Stadium.

Palladino is a former Juventus winger. The ex-Italy international scored 10 goals in 57 appearances with the Old Lady and also played for Genoa, Salernitana, Livorno, Parma, Crotone, Spezia and Monza.

Claudio Ranieri is among Monza’s options to replace Stroppa permanently, but Palladino still has a fair chance to remain in charge for the remainder of the campaign.

The Biancorossi owner Silvio Berlusconi criticised Stroppa on Monday, saying that he’d have to personally fix Monza’s tactical issues.
