Milan are reportedly on the verge of closing a deal with Chelsea for Olivier Giroud’s transfer to San Siro.

Sky Sport Italia reports the France international is close to joining the Rossoneri, who will pay Chelsea a compensation of €1m plus €1m in bonuses.

The negotiations for Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz and Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot continues, whilst Milan are also in talks with Monaco over a move for Fodè Ballo-Touré.

Milan are working to renew with Franck Kessie’s contract at Milanello, but the deal with Giroud is about to close.

The initial idea was to sign the veteran on a free transfer, but Chelsea triggered a clause in his deal and extended with a further year.

Milan will, in the end, pay €1m for the player, plus another one in bonuses and the broadcaster claims Giroud will travel to the fashion capital for his medical on Thursday.
