Cesc Fàbregas is officially a Como player, according to reports in Italy.

The ex-Barcelona midfielder had been expected to complete his reported move to the ambitious Serie B side this week.

And Sky Italia report the player’s contract has been deposited with the league and is now a Como player.

While Fàbregas arrived on a free transfer, it still represents a huge coup for the Lombardy-based side.

Fàbregas started his professional career with Arsenal in 2004, winning the FA Cup in his debut campaign before moving to Barcelona, where he had played at youth level, in 2011.

He won a Copa del Rey and LaLiga title before returning to the Premier League with Chelsea in 2014, adding a Premier League title and League Cup in his first season back in England.

Fàbregas won the title again under Antonio Conte two years later as well as the FA Cup the following season and earned a Europa League medal in the subsequent campaign under Maurizio Sarri, despite joining Monaco in January 2019.

Fàbregas has also enjoyed a stellar international career with two European Championships victories as well as the 2010 World Cup, where he provided the assist for Andrés Iniesta’s late winner in the final.
