The Nerazzurri make their long-awaited return to the Champions League tomorrow night, facing the Premier League side at a sold-out San Siro.

“I played against him [Kane] in the national team and we lost,” Skriniar recalled at the pre-match Press conference.

“I’ve watched some videos of him, he’s a great player and we saw that at the World Cup too. We need to be ready for him, but also the other players too.

“The danger man? As a defender I’d say Kane, he’s someone who even if you don’t see him for 20 minutes, he can score with his first chance.”

Skriniar has never played in this competition before.

“I’ve never played in the Champions League and I can’t wait, I think it could be good for us. I don’t want to say it’s a decisive match, but if we do well we can put everything right. So certainly it’s an important match.

“When you play in the Champions League you want to play these kinds of teams. We can do well.”
