Salvatore Sirigu will reportedly undergo his medicals with Napoli tomorrow ahead of a free transfer.

The 35-year-old Italian goalkeeper is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Genoa last month. Sirigu’s experience and leadership skills have seen many Italian clubs register their interest, but ultimately Luciano Spalletti’s side have seemingly won out.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Sirigu is set to undergo his medicals with Napoli tomorrow before putting pen to paper on a one-year contract with an option for a second. The 35-year-old will reportedly earn around €700,000 net per season plus add-ons, and there’s also a €100,000 compensation clause should the Partenopei decide to terminate his deal.

Last season, Sirigu made 36 Serie A appearances for Genoa, for a total of 3240 minutes. In that time, he kept 10 clean sheets and conceded 59 goals, doing well individually despite the team’s struggles.
