Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone calls Roma “a great team” and remembers “with pleasure” his Lazio past.

The Giallorossi welcome Los Colchoneros to the Stadio Olympic tomorrow night, and the Atleti boss is familiar with the stadium after winning the Scudetto with their city rivals.

“We don’t need to mix emotions,” Simeone said in his pre-match Press conference.

“I have respect for Roma and I remember my past with Lazio with great pleasure. Now I won’t talk much, all I’m thinking about is how Roma play, which is really well.

“They have quick players, and a strong and technical midfield. That’s all I’m thinking about.

“We don’t have an inferiority complex, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Ourselves, Roma and Chelsea have the same chance of going through. All of us have complete squads.

“We have to think about playing our game.

“In football we say the most important game is the next one. Roma are a great team, they play really well and they can have a really great tournament.”
