The Giallorossi came back from a 4-1 first leg defeat to crush Barcelona 3-0 and confirm their ability to keep a clean sheet in all five home games this season.
“I think that nobody in the world of football could be surprised by the Roma result,” said Simeone.

“Only those who are not in this business could be stunned or even that surprised by these situations. We professionals, on the other hand, know that these things are possible.
“It’s a sport and there can be moments that go well, others less so, little details that can decide an elimination, especially if you face excellent teams in the quarter-finals or semi-finals.”
Roma already caused upsets in the group phase, finishing ahead of Chelsea and eliminating Atletico Madrid.
The Spaniards moved on to the Europa League and this evening aim to book their spot in the semi-final of that tournament.
