Alessandro Del Piero has been linked with a return to Juventus, but do you think the Bianconeri legend would be an intelligent addition to the new board of directors? Vote!

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports the former No.10, the best scorer in the club’s history and the player with the most appearances for the Old Lady, will be offered a role to replace Pavel Nedved as the club’s vice president, connecting the club’s board to the sporting area which Federico Cherubini and coach Massimiliano Allegri are now leading.

Del Piero reacted to the recent speculations with a post on his social media accounts where he said he would not comment on rumours but urged fans to remain even closer to the club at this difficult time.

Most Juventus fans seem to be happy with the idea of having their idol back at the Allianz Stadium although the ex-striker, a World Cup winner with Italy in 2006, has no experience managing a football club.

However, his career at the club and his knowledge of the game and Juventus make him a more than suitable candidate for the new course, which will officially begin on January 18, 2023, with the new board of directors.

Would you bring Del Piero back to Juventus? Vote in the poll below.

  1. 50/50. A legend that knows the club and how they operate under the cover of darkness but then you have Everest. Prophet Max has been given the thumbs up and he now has another endless list of excuses if the season does not in CALMAAA!!! If she stays on, how does a former player of attacking prowess convince the fossil to play out of reverse gear.

  2. Nedved had no experience running a club when he first took over. If Del Piero can do what Maldini has done at Milan, bring it on. However, I suspect if he gets his chance he maybe working in Serie B as this is quite serious. Clearly there has been financial irregulateries that will have to be punished. UEFA cannot believe their luck with Angnelli gone, the Super League will be left with only Real Madrid and Barcelona
