Now Le10Sport claims that Shanghai Shenhua have made an approach for Menez, but there’s a dispute over wages.

The attacking midfielder is said to be asking for three-year deal worth €10m per season to move to the Far East, while the Chinese club are only willing to offer €7m.

The news outlet believes that the Diavolo have not closed the door to a deal, indicating that they would be willing to do business for a transfer fee of around €10m.

The transfer window for the Chinese Super League closes on February 26, and Shanghai have a space in their squad as they today confirmed that former Everton man Tim Cahill has been released.
