The Spaniards have strong links with Serie A during this summer transfer window, as today Andre Silva arrived to complete his move from Milan.

It’ll be a €5m loan with option to buy at the end of the season for another €30m.

“He is an excellent new signing, a player who is still young and we’ve made an important investment for him,” said Machin in a Press conference.

“Silva is a Portugal international, he can give a strong contribution with his presence in the box and is convinced he can do great things with us. Milan wanted to keep hold of him and he had other offers, but he chose us.”

Meanwhile, Roma continue negotiations for wantaway midfielder N’Zonzi, who has a €40m release clause in his contract.

“I will count on N’Zonzi until the club tells me otherwise,” continued the Coach.

“He is an important player with quality beyond the norm, so he won’t be allowed to go for a cut-price fee. Sevilla have made it clear that N’Zonzi will leave for the figure of his release clause or at least something close to it.

“If anyone wants the player, they must reach an agreement with us first.”
