An outstanding performance from the new boy and, on the rare occasion that Parma succeeded in breaking through, his tackling kept Roma secure. He absolutely had Amauri in his pocket, forcing him to be subbed later. Atomic.

Restricted Juve to a few chances with his crucial tackling, with one in particular seeing him rob a dangerous Mirko Vucinic. With his accurate passing out of defence he was a rock and absolutely fluid when on the move. Metasomatic.

Played on the left and excelled in pinning back the visitors. He worked well behind the superb Senad Lulic and started the move that saw him score his first goal with an awesome volley into the far left corner. Kinetic.
Antonio Candreva [Lazio]
The Man of the Match opened up the scoring with a right-footed shot into the bottom right of the net. He continued probing the Chievo defence throughout, while consistently setting up his teammates down the right. Charismatic.
Francesco Lodi [Genoa]
The former Catania playmaker was highly organised and controlled the game from the middle of the park. He capped an almost flawless performance with a typical free-kick that curled into the top corner past a powerless goalkeeper. Antagonistic.
Ricardo Alvarez [Inter]
It was a Man of the Match display from the Argentine who has shown anew under Walter Mazzarri. He was forever pushing forward, inspiring several counter attacks and on one in particular produced the assist for Mauro Icardi’s opener. Catalytic.
Arturo Vidal [Juventus]
Do they come much more consistent than the Chilean? Not at the moment they don’t. Snapping up a fine pull back from Kwadwo Asamoah, he completed another fine presentation by equalising from 12 yards. Absolutistic.
Danilo D'Ambrosio [Torino]
Showed his determination throughout and set up several strong counter-attacks down the flank. Opened up the scoring after controlling an Alessio Cerci pass before beating Cristian Zaccardo, not for the last time, to place his shot past Christian Abbiati. Ballistic

Always a thorn in Milan’s side, he produced an assist and scored on a lightning counter after a clever Ciro Immobile pass saw him face off Abbiati, before chipping him with a left-footer. Fantastic.
Paulinho [Livorno]
The Brazilian striker scored twice in just over five minutes in a tightly-fought game. His first saw him snap home from a few yards out while his second came from a tight angle after great work with Innocent Emeghara. Energetic.
