Inter reunite Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez to shake off recent setbacks and controversy, but visit a Salernitana side unbeaten in five under Paulo Sousa.
It kicks off at the Stadio Arechi at 16.00 UK time (15.00 GMT).
The Nerazzurri have run into serious problems in recent weeks, suffering three consecutive Serie A defeats, then scraping a 1-1 Coppa Italia semi-final draw with Juventus with a controversial finale.
Lukaku was shown a second yellow card for celebrating his goal with a ‘silence’ gesture towards the Juve fans, even though some of them were hurling racist abuse at him, then Samir Handanovic and Juan Cuadrado were sent off for a brawl after the final whistle.
Danilo D’Ambrosio is still suspended in Serie A after his red card for a fight with Juve midfielder Leandro Paredes, plus Milan Skriniar and Hakan Calhanoglu injured, but Stefan de Vrij steps in for Francesco Acerbi.
Salernitana have turned a corner since Sousa took over from Davide Nicola and are unbeaten in five, even if that includes the last four draws on the bounce.
Federico Fazio, Domen Crnigoj and Pasquale Mazzocchi are injured, but ex-Inter player Antonio Candreva starts in the trequartista role supporting Kastanos and Krzysztof Piatek.
Boulaye Dia is sent to the bench.
Salernitana: Ochoa; Daniliuc, Gyomber, Pirola; Bronn, Coulibaly, Vilhena, Bradaric; Candreva, Kastanos; Piatek
Inter: Onana; Darmian, De Vrji, Acerbi; Dumfries, Barella, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Gosens; Lukaku, Correa
