A battle in the bottom half of the table sees a plucky Empoli face off against relegation candidates Cremonese.

The Tuscan outfit have won two of their last five league outings, beating Sassuolo and Monza, and they’ll be confident of securing all three points against their newly promoted opposition. Cremonese have drawn four of their last five games, snatching a point in their last match against defending champions Milan, and they’re dreaming of a positive result in a bid to climb the table.

Paolo Zanetti will have to do without the injured Lorenzo Tonelli, Koni De Winter and Mattia Destro for tonight’s game against Cremonese, with Sebastiano Luperto also out due to a suspension.

Massimiliano Alvini cannot count on Ionut Radu, Vlad Chiriches and Santiago Ascacibar, all of whom are sidelined with injuries. He’ll be desperate to pick up some much needed points for Cremonese as they look to start escaping the relegation zone.
