There are growing reports FC Porto midfielder Sergio Oliveira will fly in tomorrow for his Roma medical, completing the loan with €15m option to buy.

Coach Jose Mourinho declared after last night’s epic 4-3 defeat to Juventus that there would definitely be another player arriving this week.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà and Portuguese pundit Pedro Almeida, that will be Olivieira.

The two clubs are finalising the details of the transfer, which will be a six-month loan with option to buy at the end of the season for a total of €15m plus performance-related bonuses.

It seems the last obstacle is calculating how much Roma must pay for the loan spell itself.

Sergio Oliveira is a 29-year-old midfielder with 13 senior caps for Portugal.

So far this season, he has made 24 competitive appearances for FC Porto, contributing five goals and one assist.

His previous clubs include PAOK Salonika, FC Nantes, Pacos Ferreira and KV Mechelen.
