Sport Mediaset claim Milan will replace Roma-bound Massimiliano Allegri with former midfielder Clarence Seedorf.

Allegri is set to be axed by President Silvio Berlusconi this week which will free the former Cagliari” data-scaytid=”9″>Cagliari man to join Roma.

In his place at Milanello, Berlusconi has supposedly chosen to give Seedorf his first taste of football management.

The 37-year-old left the Diavolo last summer after 10 years with the club to join Brazilian outfit Botafogo.

Former Milan strikers Pippo Inzaghi and Marco Van Basten were also being paired with the Rossoneri by some publications earlier today.

Seedorf has recently admitted his desire to become a tactician once he brings his playing career to a conclusion.

Allegri joined Milan three years ago, instantly leading the club to the title, then second and third place finishes in Serie A.
