Chelsea wore a special shirt in tribute of former striker Gianluca Vialli ahead of their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

The former Sampdoria and Juventus forward, who sadly passed away aged 58 earlier this month, spent the final three years of his playing career with the Blues from 1996 to 1999, scoring 21 goals in 58 league games.

During his final two years on the pitch, Vialli also worked as Chelsea’s head coach, guiding them to the FA Cup and League Cup.

Chelsea celebrated Vialli ahead of their clash with Crystal Place, wearing shirts bearing his name and iconic number 9.
