Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick should complete his transfer to Roma for a total €38m over the next 24-48 hours.

The 21-year-old had agreed a move to Juventus in June, but failed a medical due to a small cardiac issue – which has now been resolved – and the two clubs couldn’t renegotiate the terms of the deal.

He had then been close to Inter and Napoli, but Roma seem to have finally won the bidding war for the Czech Republic international.

Sky Sport Italia report Sampdoria and the Giallorossi directors will meet with Schick’s agents on Monday evening to work out the final details.

It’ll be a loan for €6m with obligation to buy at the end of the season for another €30m plus bonuses.

Samp only signed Schick from Sparta Prague a year ago for €4m.

He proved to be a sensation, especially when coming off the bench, scoring 13 goals with five assists in 35 games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
