Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez conceded Juventus ‘were better than us in all facets of the game’ on Tuesday.
Atleti threw away a 2-0 lead to go out of the Champions League as Juve came back, courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick.
“We missed many things,” Saul said after the game.
“We weren’t able to threaten the Juventus goalkeeper. What happened to us today can’t happen at 2-0 up.

“Juventus did better than us, so we have to take a step forward and deal with whatever comes our way.
“Ultimately it’s what we deserve. They were better than us. There’s not much else to say, they were better than us in all facets of the game and we didn’t know how to react.
“We weren’t as smart as we should’ve been when we attacked the spaces they left behind. We didn’t cause them any problems.”
