But the Sassuolo chairman Carlo Rossi has claimed he will speak with others at the fixture announcement in Milan tonight before making a decision.
“We had given our support to Tavecchio in the last meeting,” Rossi told Sky Sport Italia.
“But, honestly, we do not like this remark.
“It’s incredibly serious and has to be rectified immediately.
“We’ll see what happens. Today we’re meeting with all the other clubs in Milan and I plan to talk to them then.”
